...THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN! PICTURED: HIDEKI MATSUI AT-BAT AGAINST THE CARP IN HIROSHIMA STADIUM |
Joe Connor, an experienced ballpark traveler to Latin America and Asia, is planning
a mid-to-late September 2005 tour to the "Land of the Rising Sun," and a January 2006 visit to the Dominican Republic Winter
League. Because of his media affiliation, Joe has several contacts in both the
Dominican Republic and Japan, which will make these trips unlike any you could ever put together on your own. Most importantly,
by joining us on this group tour to the Dominican Republic or Japan, we will be able to offer you an awesome rate on airfare,
transportation, hotel accommodations, game tickets, admission to first-class sports museums and much more! We anticipate the
cost will be just $2,000 (USD) for a 7-10 day adventure of a lifetime to Japan! A super deal! The trip to the Dominican Republic
will be far less!
E-mail us at [email protected] to be put on our e-mail list. Briefly, here is what the trips would entail:
- Fans would visit the Dominican Republic's and Japan’s baseball hotbeds and
top cultural cities, including Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macoris and Santiago in the Dominican, and Tokyo, Osaka and Hiroshima
in Japan, and enjoy at least five but as many as seven Dominican Winter League games and Japanese Professional League games
(indoor as well as outdoor ballparks).
- Before games, an opportunity to meet current and former Major Leaguers now playing
in the Dominican Republic Winter League and in Japan and to secure autographs, plus on-field access to view batting practice
and how the Dominicans and Japanese prepare for games - it’s quite unique!
- Visits to historic baseball shrines, including the Dominican Republic's famed baseball
academies; Japan’s Baseball Hall of Fame; Ichiro Suzuki’s shrine; and former haunts that have been graced by Japan’s
old-timers and even featured in movies!
- Taking a look inside the Dominicans and Japan’s frenzied news media, with
a visit to one of its newspaper and broadcast facilities to view how the nation’s writers and anchors spread the gospel
of baseball all over the country!
- A complimentary "gift bag," including merchandise and more from our Dominican and
Japanese friends!
Memories of a lifetime that only we can provide!
